A Renewed Call to Creative Resistance

Exactly one year ago I published this Call to Creative Resistance in The Philadelphia Inquirer. It was inspired by the revolutionary art of Mexican Modernism, as revisited in this exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I appealed to Henry David Thoreau's principled resistance to civil government to justify it. The call to creative resistance strikes me as even more pertinent today, so I renew it here.
